Customer Service - Return Policy

Obtaining Service

WestGroup values your business and seeks to provide you with an uncompromising service. If your WestGroup Product requires repair or replacement, please contact our Customer Response Centre at WestGroup on 1300 130 578 or email us on sales@westgroup.com.au . Product may be returned directly to WestGroup only by first contacting our Response Centre via the above contacts.

If WestGroup determines that the Product may be defective in material, workmanship, or DOA, you will be issued with a Return Material Authorisation ("RMA") number and instructions for Product return. Authorised returns are to be shipped prepaid and insured, and packaged correctly to prevent damage.

The original purchase receipt must accompany the return Product to establish the Warranty Period. WestGroup will not be responsible for mail losses, or any lost data - regardless of cause ie. recovery of lost data, or data contained in any return Product. Please note full credit requests within 10 working days of invoice will only be granted in exceptional circumstances. All other credit requests will attract a 15% restocking fee and if there has been a price change between the time of purchase and the time of return, the lower value will apply.

Packaging Requirements For Returned Products

Shipping instructions must be followed carefully. Product that arrives damaged in shipment, without an RMA number, or without the required purchase information, will be returned at your cost without repair or replacement. Add-on items (eg cables, software, adaptors, brackets, installation guides, etc.) should not be returned with your shipment, as WestGroup cannot guarantee the return of such items.

All Products require careful packaging and WestGroup recommends the use of the products original packaging. However, if the original packaging is not available, use individual anti-static, anti-shielding, and anti-conductive bags, and an appropriately rated substitute shipping container designed to prevent jarring or movement, impact between multiple components, and electrostatic discharge damage.

The RMA number must be placed on the outside of the package along with your name and return address. Only one RMA number per package is permitted. If you have multiple RMA numbers, you must send separate packages. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that Product is returned to WestGroup in accordance with the procedures outlined above.

This involves the use of a traceable carrier (eg Express Post, Australian Air Express, Ansett Air Freight etc) in return shipping your Product. WestGroup will only pay shipping costs in returning Product to you.
